Villa S'Alqueria, Campanet, Mallorca
In a tiny hamlet of half a dozen houses perched on the hillside 2km from Campanet, Villa S'Alqueria makes a good first impression with its electronic wrought iron gates and a gravel driveway.
However the good impression soon changes to sensational, whenyou open the kitchen door to the rear terrace and get your first glimpse of the pool, framed by an exquisite backdrop of countryside and the impressive Tramuntana Mountains.
At ground floor level, the spacious farmhouse kitchen comes complete with a walk in pantry, a fireplace, plus a large dining table . Whilst at the far end of the room is the cooks domain, with a sizeable fridge freezer, full gas cooker, microwave oven, plus a dishwasher and attractive tiled work surfaces.
A door from the kitchen leads out to a partially covered rear terrace, where there is a very conveniently located purpose built barbecue area, a cobble sun terrace and an attractive sandstone fountain, fringed by pretty flowered borders and lovely tree shaded gardens.
From the patio, a couple of steps lead up to the superb 10m x 4.5m pool with Roman steps into the shallow end . On one side of the pool, dwarf palms and almond trees fringe a remarkably luxuriant lawn and here you will also find a convenient outside shower and a fragrant lemon tree.
At first floor level, via a staircase from the entrance hallway, is a comfortable sitting room with sofas and easy chairs, plus a TV with satellite receiver and DVD player.
This room also has a fireplace and large picture windows with rural views towards Campanet.
Off a short corridor to the rear is one double bedroom with a very dapper en-suite full bathroom and a twin and double bedroom sharing a family bathroom.
At ground floor level, via a corridor from the kitchen, is a small single bedroom with a small wardrobe and bedside cabinet and its own door to the entrance terrace and short cut to the pool, plus an adjoining bathroom with hip-bath and a washing machine.
The pool has a depth of 1m at the shallow end and 2m at the deep end.
The cost of logs and/or use of the electric central heating, is payable locally direct to the owner.
