Coral Apts, Puerto Pollenca, Mallorca
We were surprised and delighted with the standard of these six, one bedroom apartments which are situated above the Bar Coral, on a side street just off the old road to Formentor and less than 25 metres from the Pine Walk and its glorious, gently shelving sandy beaches.
The apartments are all nicely furnished in pine with pretty curtains and even a satellite TV, plus patio doors to a small balcony with patio table and chairs. Each apartment has a twin bedroom and immaculate tiled bathroom, plus an open plan living area with two convertible sofabeds and a neat fitted kitchenette with marble work surfaces, fridge, small cooker and microwave oven. The apartments are all fitted with double glazing and air conditioning, making them cool by day and undisturbed by night from any traffic noise.
There is a choice of first floor or second floor apartments and in the ground floor entrance lobby, each apartment is allocated a locker and key for buckets, spades and other beach essentials.
The Bar Coral first opened its doors way back in 1969 and has over the years built up a very good reputation for its excellent food and friendly service. Very much a small family business, it is run by the brothers Pedro and Jordi along with their wives Alicia and Ana. The family also own the apartments so you are assured of a very warm welcome and service with a smile! From the apartments it's a 10 minute stroll along the Pine Walk to the centre of town and thereâs a convenient supermarket nearby so we suggest you leave your driving licence at home.
